Sunrises and Sets in Hawai'i

Last week, I went to Hawai'i to visit my best friend, Karlie. We spent a wonderful week going to beaches, watching sunrises and trying to watch sunsets. We ate wonderful food, I met wonderful people and all in all, it was probably one of the best times of my life. Over the next few days, Iwill blog about some of my different experiences, but for this blog, I want to show my first Hawaiian sunset and early morning sunrise.

This was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. We got up early on Monday morning, travelled to Sandy's beach, then went to a few different place after that to watch the rest of the sunrise. We saw 3 whales, very far off, but you could definately tell they were whales. It was so awesome to know they were out there swimming. I think if I lived there, I would get up most mornings to go and watch the sunrise, nothing else could compare to it.

Karlie likes to draw hearts in the sand. It made for some cool pictures. We spent a little while after the sun rose taking random pictures.

We went perpared with muffins, coffee, our towels to lay out and Karlie's iPod so we could listen to worship music while watching the sunset. The worship music was a wonderful way to remind us of who it was who made the beautiful sight we were watching.

This was the first thing I did in Hawai'i. We watched the sunset at a place called Tantilus. The sight was breath taking. Then we went and ate Mochi ice-cream, amazing ice-cream balls covered in some type of rice paste, sounds disgusting, but it really was absolutely amazing.

The view of Diamond Head from Tantilus. The city was so beautiful from that high up. Diamond Head is a volcano that errupted and this is what's left. People hike there; we didn't get the chance to do that, but I hope to go back one day and hike. I heard you can see the whole city from the top.

New Year's Eve

This New Year's Eve I celebrated with one of my best friends in the whole world. There was playing of Wii, eating wonderful food made by Brenna's sister, and singing of the Avett Brother's. All in all, it was a wonderful night.

This is the amazing rainbow cupcake that Brenna and her sister made. It tasted just like trix cereal.

Brenna and her sister gave us a memorable performance of an Avett Brother's song

He makes her incredibly happy

Brenna's tat looks great with this dress, I'm kind of jealous
